If you are staying in Praia da Luz, hiring a board locally and then finding a wave for it is a two-part problem. Rent and Ride handles both: we bring the board and wetsuit with us, collect you in Luz and drive to the beach that is working that morning.
€45 covers a board, a wetsuit and the return lift. €25 covers the lift only, for people who have travelled with their own board and just need it, and themselves, moved to a beach with waves.
This is a hire service, not a lesson. You should be able to paddle out, catch unbroken waves and read a rip well enough to keep yourself safe. If that is not you yet, a surf lesson from Luz costs €60 and includes the same kit plus an instructor.

Kit is loaded in Lagos before the van leaves, so we need your size in advance.
2Meet the van in Luz

Luz bay is not on the list. If it were reliably surfable you would not need the lift.
