From €25
Hiring a board in Lagos is easy. Getting it to a beach with waves is the hard part, especially without a car or with a hire car that you would rather not fill with sand and seawater. Rent and Ride solves both at once: you get the kit and a seat in the van to whichever coast we are driving to that morning.
For €45 you get a surfboard, a wetsuit in your size and the lift, there and back. For €25 you get the lift only, which is what most people with their own board choose. Either way you are dropped at a beach we have chosen because it is working, not because it is the closest one to the car park.
Our boards run from big soft-tops through mid-lengths to shorter shapes [CONFIRM: exact board range and sizes available]. Tell us your height, weight and how long you have been surfing and we will put something sensible in the van. Wetsuits are [CONFIRM: wetsuit thicknesses stocked], which covers the Algarve year round.
Hire is a day rate. If you want kit for several days in a row, message us: it is simpler and cheaper to arrange as a block than to rebook each morning.

Tell us your size
Height, weight and roughly how long you have surfed. That is enough to pick a board.
2Pickup in Lagos
Meet the van with your towel and swimwear. Pickup times: [CONFIRM: pickup times].
3Kit in the van
Board and wetsuit are loaded before you get in. Nothing to carry through town.
4Drive to the working coast
Same swell check as our lessons: south or west, whichever has the better waves.
5Surf your own session
No lesson, no schedule. The van and the rest of the kit stay at the beach.
6Drop-off
Boards rinsed, wetsuits back in the van, and we drop you where we picked you up.

Hire is a day rate per person. Ask about multi-day rates if you want the same board all week.

Where we surf
Wherever the van is going that day. On small clean days that is usually Meia Praia or Porto de Mós on the south coast.
On Atlantic swell it is the west coast around Arrifana and Amado, which is a longer drive and a heavier wave.
If you need a specific beach, ask before booking. We can usually say the night before where we are heading.

Can I hire a board without the lift?
The Rent and Ride price is built around the van, so the €45 rate includes transport. If you only want a board to keep in town, message us and we will tell you what is possible.
What boards do you have?

What if I damage the board?

Can beginners hire?
We would rather you took a lesson first. Getting a board to a beach is easy; knowing where it is safe to paddle out is the part that takes a day with an instructor.
