A private day starting in Praia da Luz has one practical advantage over a group day: with only two of you in the van, the drive is quicker to organise and we can commit to a further beach without holding anyone up. If the good wave that morning is an hour west, we just go.
The coaching is the point. One instructor watches every wave you attempt, calls you into the ones worth taking and tells you what to change before you have finished paddling back out. That is very hard to do with eight people in the water and very easy with two.
Two surfers booking together pay €120 each. On your own it is €150. Board, wetsuit, snack pack, sports insurance and the Luz pickup and drop-off are all included, and there is no surcharge for being collected in Luz rather than Lagos.

Ten minutes on the sand going through what changed before the second surf.
6Session two and back to Luz
Apply it, then the drive home and drop-off at the same spot in Luz.

Is it cheaper to be collected in Lagos?
No. The price is the same wherever we pick you up on the route.
Can the two of us be different levels?
Yes, and it works better than in a group. The instructor can set one of you a task while working with the other.
Can we do a private lesson in Luz bay itself?
Only on the rare day it has a wave. Otherwise you would be paying for a private lesson in flat water, which helps nobody.
How far will you drive for a private day?
