About Banana Surf Algarve
We have been driving people to waves from Lagos for over 17 years. Same coast, same van, a lot of accumulated knowledge about where to go on a given morning.
Seventeen years of morning swell checks
Banana Surf Algarve started in Lagos and has never moved. Same van, same crew, same way of running a day for over 17 years.
The idea has always been simple. The Algarve has a south coast and a west coast within an hour of each other, and on any given day one of them is better than the other. A surf school tied to a single beach has to teach whatever is in front of it. We look at the forecast before dawn, pick the coast that is working and drive there.
Groups are capped at eight surfers per instructor because beyond that an instructor is crowd-controlling rather than coaching. Private lessons are capped at two. Sports insurance is included in every booking, and children under 13 surf with an adult in the group.

Where to find us
Our base is at Estr. da Ponta da Piedade 23, 8600-512 Lagos. Pickups run from Lagos and Praia da Luz, and the van goes out daily. Opening hours and pickup times: [CONFIRM].
